Mindful Journal may send you local notifications as reminders to journal:
- All notifications are generated locally on your device

Third-Party Services
Mindful Journal uses the following third-party services:
- Expo Haptics: For providing haptic feedback (vibrations) when interacting with the app
- Expo Notifications: For scheduling local reminder notifications
- React Native AsyncStorage: For local data storage on your device
- React Native Calendar Events: For calendar integration features
These services only access information necessary to perform their functions and do not collect or transmit your journal data to external servers.
Your Control Over Your Data
You have complete control over your data:
- All data is stored locally on your device
- You can edit or delete individual journal entries within the app
- You can export your data as a backup file
- You can import previously exported backup data
- Uninstalling the app will remove all your data from the device
Data Backup and Export
The app provides optional backup functionality:
- You can export your journal entries to a local file
- Exported files are stored on your device or in your chosen location
- We do not automatically upload or sync your backups to any cloud service
- You are responsible for managing and securing your backup files
Children's Privacy
Mindful Journal does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not contain age-restricted content.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
